RALDAS Monitoring- and Registration Concept

Key features

  • Temperature monitoring and registration
  • Tank contents monitoring via telemetry
  • Efficient Modular Concept
  • Remote Alarming via cellular telephony or SMS

Today's philosophy (and Regulations) on the quality of production processes requires objective registration and hence "traceability" of all relevant circumstances to which the products were subject during the whole production cycle. Quality and operational safety must never be a point of discussion for producers and consumers.

This is why producers more and more have to account themselves publicly. In case of doubt, the producer must prove the quality of his product and production process. Collecting this data objectively usually leads to a lot of communication problems. A lot of data is still collected and written down by hand which leads to inaccuracy and higher cost. Do you know exactly what is happening in your automated production process?

RALDAS 7000 is a unique datalogger which measures, registers and monitors all your data. This opens the possibility of automatically presenting a large number of relevant data on your PC. Besides the measurement of the required parameters, RALDAS 7000 also offers:

  • Automatic reporting through cellular phone network in case of an alarm situation
  • Fully configurable datalogger with presentation in graphics
  • Saving of alarms for post analyses
  • Supports modem communication

Temperature registration and monitoring of cold store and freezer

The continuous registration of temperature in refrigirated stores is almost mandatory because of rules as HACCP, GMP and GLP. This registration helps tracing temperature deviations and defects in the refrigerating equipment. Measured data can be presented, analysed and printed by pushing one button. When an alarm occurs, it is immediately reported by RALDAS 7000. Alarms are presented directly on the screen, through a relay or by cellular phone.

Storage tank continually at level by telemetry

RALDAS can be used exceptionally well for effective storage control. Although all kinds of modern techniques are available, it regularly happens that a customer calls at the last moment because his storage tank is at a critical level and a refill is urgently required. Based on telemetry, RALDAS 7000 can completely take over this logistic control task. If the analog signal of the levelsensor drops below the setpoint, RALDAS 7000 can call a central computer. Historical data will be sent to a database for managent information and the logistics department gets a report that the tank should be refilled.

Energy consumption mapped

Saving of energy costs is much simpler when a detailed consumption pattern of the energy flows within the company is known. Every company is charged according to the reading of the energy meters for gas, water and electricity. With a reflection sensor for old meters or a direct connection to the more modern meters, RALDAS 7000 can store the values with a pre-set interval (e.g. 5 or 10 minutes). RALDAS 7000 can store up to 24.000 (analog) measurement values which are sent directly or over a modem in ASCII format to a central PC. RALDAS Graphic Software or another application can be used to present, analyse and print the data.

Soft- and hardware

RALDAS is a combination of industrial hardware and Windows based software. With the RALDAS system both digital and analog measurements can be performed. The user has a large degree of freedom when configuring the system: names of the sensors, re-calculation to physical units, filter times for noise suppression can all be set by the user, also when the system is operational. Besides the measurement of signals, all sorts of conditional alarms are possible. To easily follow and interpret the measured values, it is possible to show a number of selected channels in a graph. Our plug & play hardware is universal and can be connected without problems to existing installations. All presentation and configuration is done on a PC, running with either Windows 95/98,Windows NT and XP. The saving of the data and the registration and alarming is initially done in the remote station itself. This means that a configured system will remain completely functional whether the PC is connected or not. A remote station can be connected directly on the PC or by using a modem.

The RALDAS system consists of the following parts:
  • Measurement of the sensor Here all kinds of hard- and software settings can be chosen to enable the measurement of a large number of different electrical signals
  • Alarm on measured data An extensive alarm module is available which allows the configuration of alarms according to your requirements.
  • Registration and trend presentation All measurements are made with a configurable scanning interval.
  • Direct or modem communication between PC and remote station Data can also be sent to a cellular phone
